- Visa renewal and stamping in Dubai
An expired UAE resident visa has to be renewed within 30 days post the expiry date. And this period is known as the grace period which is provided by the concerned GDFRA of the Emirate.
Any attempt to continue with the expired residence visa is considered as an offence by the UAE government and it may attract legal issues and fines. The fine amount is AED 25/day.
If you have special reasons to renew the residence visa prior to the date of expiry, you are allowed to do so. You may do it after obtaining the consent of the concerned GDFRA in advance.
